Ninja Gaiden 2: The Dragon Born

Miscellaneous Multimedia

Purpose:  This section is probably the one you care about most (If any, heh).  I will constantly update this section with various .3mm files, posters, rejected storyboards/art, mp3s, or whatever else hits my fancy.  Seeing that The Dragon Born is still in it's toddler stages, I have to be very careful with what I can release to the public.  Personally, I wanted to keep Kulrohen a secret until the movie was released, as well as Aedrax's return, however this site would be incredibly lacking in content if I knocked off half of the main characters like that.  To my complete surprise, I received two posters and a teaser by independent movie makers for the release of the original Ninja Gaiden.  If any of this project's (Immensely appreciated) fans ever feel the urge to do something similar, be sure to e-mail me at gorosaurus@gmail.com with whatever you cook up.  If it's cool enough (Or socially proper, haha) to put up here, I will certainly do so!

INTRO GIF

A few friendly neighborhood zombies are rewarded for failing to take out the garbage in this scene taken right out of the Intro sequence to The Dragon Born.  Excuse my failure to trim the sidebars; that usually takes an extra hour or more when making the GIF.

RYU Vs. HOMEWORK

What can I say... it's a certifiable obsession.  This example is probably the least guilty of completely hijacking my schoolwork, however most of the others either show SECRET things, or they are simply cluttered with Lock and Toad.  Oh, are they ever.

Ninja Gaiden Logo Tests (.3mm)

Matt Burkett's attempts at creating a workable, attractive logo for the new Ninja Gaiden movie.  It doesn't take long for this magician to reach perfection, I tell ya.

Ninja Gaiden 2: Teaser 1 (.3mm)

This file was secretly attached to the 2004 left-field success Ringu (By Matt Burkett, himself), and displays a few of the various shots made through The Dragon Born's earliest period.  Eerily similar to shots made in the original Ninja Gaiden, several of the scenes in this teaser were made before the script was completed, and might not find themselves in the finished product.  If you plan to catch 'em all, this could be a must.  Compiled and edited by Matt Burkett.

Ninja Gaiden (.AVI)

(Poster by Evan Strobel)

That's right, folks.  The one and only Ninja Gaiden, available for the first time ever in a non-3mm format.  The movie is nearly 10 minutes long, and is the greatest way to get yourself familiar with the background, art style, gaming deviation, and cruddy voices which have now molded into an esteemed recognized franchise.  This movie was originally finished in the later stages of 2002, and went from a textbook-crash course in applying Andres' infamous Manifesto into the very thing that article aimed to destroy.  Hey, what's important is that fellow reviewer Jon Barton thinks it's hot snot, so I think that's about all the critical applause needed to convince you to watch this movie.  It was recorded using Camtasia and very unrefined capturing/converting skills, so bear with me.  If anyone out there can do better, please do (As long as the size isn't too massive) and I'll gladly credit you here!  Oh.. and if you have 3DMM, please save both of us 40-some megabytes and get the .3mm version.

Ninja Gaiden 2:  Action Test (.3mm)

This was an early trial to see how we could go about creating a unique, yet attractive action style for The Dragon Born.  Admittedly, we haven't kept up with this rubric much, but it sure seemed like a good idea at the time.  This was the first official work done on The Dragon Born as Matt Burkett got me off my duff to make this immediately after releasing REDUX last year.  He contributed largely to the default action sequence here, as well as some groovy tunes.  Short and incomplete, it might be worth a look if you want to see what was planned to be.
