And here we are, at the end. Dask and his company set out to
finish this Vlarion war once and for all, and the movie does
wonderfully in closing off this side of the story while
maintaining its old look. The final battles are full of
suspense, and the last one is breathtaking, climatic and
nerve-wrecking. It is in this movie where I realised that I
actually felt for the group. When I started to bang my head on
the table as they were struggling in battle, I discovered that I
badly wanted Dask and his comrades to succeed. Do they survive?
Hehe, my mouth is zipped, but this is one of the most memorable
moments in my time watching 3DMM movies.
And after all that? Well, Aaron wraps the movie up really
nicely. The final conversations were put together very well and
I smiled, relieved and saddened at the same time that the
Vlarion war is over, for this branch, anyway. Aside from the
story, one thing I haven't given much credit for is the
hand-made characters of the final couple of Vlarions. A lot of
time has obviously been spent on it and I must congratulate
Aaron on making the creatures move quite realistically.
While I am praising its story, I am just thinking what it could
have been if a couple of scenes weren't so still for so long or
if a couple of neat camera angles were used. But that's not to
say it doesn't ruin it. The battle animations are wonderful to
watch and the RPG bits really do make Vlarion 4 something to
remember. As I wait for Alternate Vlarion 4, I wonder if it can
live up to the finale of Vlarion 4.
